Chiefs RBs Unable to Shake Injury Bug in 2015
The Chiefs had to alter their running game after Jamaal Charles tore his ACL in Week 5 against Chicago. Charcandrick West moved into the No. 1 spot on the depth chart, with Ware getting elevated from the practice squad.
Ware was used sparingly out of the gate because no one knew what he was capable of, but Weeks 11 and 12 saw the former LSU star rack up 210 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Zoltan Buday of Pro Football Focus wrote after Ware's first 100-yard game against Buffalo in Week 12 that the 24-year-old's power in the final minutes proved to be a decisive factor when he secured a first down for Kansas City that allowed the team to run out the clock.
Getting Ware back healthy is critical for the Chiefs if they want to keep up with the rest of the AFC down the stretch.
