Draughn Active for Week 17

Sunday, Jan. 3

The 49ers announced Draughn was available to play against the St. Louis Rams.

Draughn to Undergo Testing

Monday, Dec. 21

Head coach Jim Tomsula told reporters Draughn will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

Draughn's Injury Latest Blow to 49ers' RB Depth

Draughn has been tasked with filling in for Carlos Hyde throughout the 2015 campaign amid an unsavory quarterback situation. Although Blaine Gabbert has played better than expected, the offense hasn't produced enough for San Francisco to be a winning team.

This has been Draughn's first extended action as a starter, yet he dealt with a thumb injury through training camp this year and was waived by the Cleveland Browns after logging just two carries. He's averaged only 3.4 yards per carry with the 49ers, which suggests he likely won't stay with the team beyond 2015.
