Barcelona Transfer News: Neymar Indicates Future Amid Manchester United Rumours

Neymar has revealed he has no plans to break up Barcelona’s stellar attacking triumvirate despite rumours about a possible move to Manchester United.

The Brazilian, along with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, has been in sparkling form for the Blaugrana in 2015, scoring goals for fun and creating chances aplenty for his team-mates. It’s tremendous to watch and is a threesome Neymar revealed he’s keen to be a part of for a long time yet.

“[The] secret of MSN? Friendship and modesty,” revealed Neymar, who was speaking after winning the Best American Player gong at the annual LFP awards, per Richard Arrowsmith of the MailOnline. “Leo and Luis are great friends, I hope to play with them for a long time, there are no egos.”

Those words will be music to the ears of Barcelona supporters, with rumours gathering pace in recent weeks about a possible transfer.

As noted by Guillem Balague of Sky Sports, there are concerns the Blaugrana will not be able to offer new contracts to both Neymar and Messi. The Brazil international’s father, Neymar Santos Sr., previously revealed United made an official approach to Barcelona about a transfer, which was naturally rejected, on Boa Tarde Fox (h/t Sky Sports).

However, Barcelona will surely do their utmost to keep Neymar and Messi together for as long as possible, especially if both are happy playing alongside each other.

The players were nominated for the 2015 Ballon d’Or award on Monday having both enjoyed remarkable years, per ESPN Stats & Info:

Neymar has proved he has the mental strength to lead this Barcelona team recently too. An injury to Messi in late September thrust some responsibility onto the Brazilian and Suarez, with both players responding superbly. However, the Blaugrana are at their best when all three are up front, as has been evident in the games since Messi's return.

Neymar seems to be acutely aware of that fact, and as he noted, despite their immense talent, there is a humbleness about the three when they take to the field. Seeking to help each other has been to the betterment of their own individual games and also to Barcelona, who won an iconic treble in 2014-15.
