NFL Odds Week 13: Panthers, Patriots, Packers All Set as Betting Favorites

OddsShark.comNov 30, 2015

The Carolina Panthers (11-0) are the last unbeaten team in the NFL heading into Week 13, and they face one of their biggest remaining tests for the rest of the regular season when they visit the New Orleans Saints (4-7) on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The Panthers are consensus seven-point road favorites at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark versus the Saints, who are riding a three-game losing streak both straight up and against the spread after falling to the Houston Texans 24-6 on the road as 3.5-point dogs last week.

Carolina has gone 12-2 ATS in the last 14 meetings at New Orleans and 7-3 ATS in the past 10 games as a road favorite during the month of December. The Panthers routed the Dallas Cowboys 33-14 as one-point road chalk on Thanksgiving Day to also improve to 9-2 ATS this year after covering their fourth game in a row.

The New England Patriots (10-1) experienced their first loss 30-24 in overtime to the Denver Broncos (9-2) on the road in the Week 12 Sunday night game, and they will try to rebound as nine-point home favorites versus the Philadelphia Eagles (4-7).

New England has failed to cover in three straight gamesgoing 0-2-1 ATSwhile Philadelphia has gone 0-3 SU and ATS in its last three. However, the Eagles are 5-1 ATS in the past six meetings with the Patriots as underdogs, according to the Odds Shark NFL Database, despite losing the previous four overall.

The defending Super Bowl champion Patriots saw All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski go down with a knee injury at Denver, but they are hoping to have wide receiver Danny Amendola (knee) back in the lineup. New England is already without wide receiver Julian Edelman (foot) and running back Dion Lewis (knee) for the rest of the season.

The Green Bay Packers (7-4) have suffered all four of their losses in their last five games and will kick off Week 13 as three-point road favorites in the Thursday night matchup against the surging Detroit Lions (4-7), who have won three in a row SU and ATS.

The Packers fell 18-16 at home to the Lions three weeks ago as 10.5-point chalk, losing for just the fourth time in the past 20 meetings. The visitor is 1-5 SU and ATS in the last six games between the NFC North teams.
