Predictions for Week 13 Biggest Favorites
New England Patriots (-13)

The Patriots suffered their first loss of the 2015 season on Sunday night, falling to the Denver Broncos and bringing their record to 10-1 on the season.
The game was a whiteout, and everyone knows Denver's defense is one of the league's best. The loss alone is not cause for concern for the Patriots, but injuries might be.
Patriots Nation held its breath Sunday night when Rob Gronkowski, the team's top tight end and one of Tom Brady's few remaining healthy weapons, went down in pain in the fourth quarter, clutching his knee.
An MRI Monday revealed that Gronkowski did not suffer a tear, but rather a minor knee sprain that could keep him out one or two weeks, per Jim McBride of the Boston Globe.
The Patriots are huge favorites against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13. The Eagles looked completely lost against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day and got blown out 45-14.
But to continue their offensive prowess, the Patriots need pass-catchers. Receiver Julian Edelman is out until at least the playoffs, and Gronkowski is big enough and talented enough to handle the constant double coverage he faced with Edelman's absence.
New England has no shortage of names, but none of them are big. Brandon LaFell, who had four receptions for 36 yards against Denver, will be a big target in the passing game, as will backup tight end Scott Chandler.
The Patriots also like to get their running backs involved in receiving; Brandon Bolden had 84 yards on four catches Sunday.
Expect the Patriots to survive Gronkowski's absence, but perhaps to a more measured degree.
Prediction: Patriots 28, Eagles 10
Cincinnati Bengals (-7.5)
At one time it was difficult to put up monster points against the St. Louis Rams defense, but that was no problem for the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, as they blew out St. Louis 31-7.
In fact, Cincinnati's win officially eliminated the Browns from playoff contention, as ESPN.com's Pat McManamon pointed out, making their Week 13 matchup especially timely.
The Bengals may no longer be undefeated on the year, but that doesn't mean they're losing steam heading into the postseason.
To start, Cincinnati has been lucky in that most of its major stars have been untouched by injuries in what has seemed to be a particularly bad season for injuries in the NFL.
Andy Dalton, who was 20-of-27 and threw three touchdowns in Week 12, still has top receiver A.J. Green and star tight end Tyler Eifert in his arsenal. The duo scored three touchdowns on Sunday.
Dalton completed passes to 10 different pass-catchers in Week 12. Meanwhile, Jeremy Hill led the charge on the ground, rushing for 86 yards on 16 carries.
The Bengals prepare for a divisional game against Cleveland in Week 13, but don't expect it to be a close one.
The Browns have been allowing an average of 27.7 points per game, and the Bengals should have no problem scoring that and then some, as they have been averaging 29.7.
Prediction: Bengals 38, Browns 17
Carolina Panthers (-7)

Raise your hand if you predicted this in the offseason: The Carolina Panthers are the league's only remaining undefeated team heading into Week 13, and no opponent has really come close to stopping them.
The Panthers' closest brush with a loss came in a 29-26 overtime win against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8.
But otherwise, the Panthers have been putting their opponents away. In Week 12, they destroyed the Dallas Cowboys 33-14, and their 44-16 victory over Washington the week before was equally dominant. Overall, Carolina is outscoring opponents to the tune of about 11.5 points per game.
But those are both teams with losing records, you say; the Panthers have merely benefited from an easy schedule.
That may, in fact, be true; of the Panthers' four remaining opponents, only one—Atlanta, which they face twice—has a winning record.
But Super Bowl winners do not have an asterisk next to their name for having an easy schedule, even if that fact is directly correlated to their title. The true test for Carolina will be going up against some of the league's elite teams in the playoffs and, potentially, the Super Bowl.
But for now, you can expect the Panthers to have another strong showing against the 4-7 Saints in Week 13.
Prediction: Panthers 31, Saints 14
