Twitter Reacts to FIFA Ballon d'Or Finalists as Luis Suarez Misses out
The 2015 FIFA Ballon d'Or finalists have been revealed. Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar will vie for the top individual honour in world football.
Luis Suarez was the man to miss out at the final hurdle, with the Uruguayan well fancied for nomination for his efforts alongside Messi and Neymar at the Camp Nou this year.
It wasn't to be for the former Liverpool forward, though. Some knew before FIFA even made the announcement, as France Football tweeted out the finalists.

Once FIFA officially confirmed the final three, Barca were quick to show their support to their two players who did make the cut. Real Madrid followed suit for their man.
The Suarez snub was the big surprise, with many fans left wondering why a man who has scored so many goals for his club this calendar year (40, per Soccerway) didn't make the cut.

As BBC noted, another player who's done pretty well in 2015 failed to make the cut. That said, Jamie Vardy wasn't even on the original shortlist. Still, Gary Lineker had the same idea.
