T.J. Jiles Arrested: Details, Mugshot and More on UNC CB
The North Carolina Tar Heels are set to face the Clemson Tigers in a highly anticipated ACC Championship Game on Saturday with a potential spot in the College Football Playoff on the line. Unfortunately for the Tar Heels, they have to deal with an off-field distraction during their preparation.
According to wralSportsFan.com, cornerback T.J. Jiles was arrested at 3 a.m. ET on Sunday morning after the team’s win over the North Carolina State Wolfpack. Jiles was charged with assault “in connection with an incident involving a bouncer at a Raleigh nightclub.”
TWC News Central NC shared the mugshot:
Jiles, a senior, has appeared in 42 games throughout his career. However, he has only one interception during his time with the program and has primarily played on special teams this season.
While Jiles isn’t a vital member of the secondary, the Tar Heels will be short-handed against Deshaun Watson and the Tigers on Saturday because North Carolina suspended the cornerback indefinitely for a violation of team rules, according to wralSportsFan.com, which added that Jiles was released from Wake County Detention Center on a $1,200 bond Sunday.
