Bargnani Returns vs. 76ers
Thursday, Dec. 10
Bargnani returned against Philadelphia, playing 23 minutes and scoring 23 points.
Bargnani Slowed by Troublesome Hamstring
According to Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post, the left hamstring injury was the same hamstring that hobbled him in preseason.
Given the 30-year-old's extensive injury history, the Nets had to expect Bargnani to miss at least a few games this year, and that's if everything breaks right for the former No. 1 overall draft pick. Between 2011 and 2015, Bargnani missed an average of nearly 44 games a year.
The Nets are one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference, and the only thing keeping them out of last place are the even more hapless Philadelphia 76ers.
Bargnani's injury is concerning if only for the fact Brooklyn doesn't have another recognized center on the roster beyond Brook Lopez, who has dealt with plenty of injuries himself.
