Hart Returns vs. PSG
Wednesday, April 6
The English stopper was named in Manuel Pellegrini's starting team for the UEFA Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.
Demichelis the Cause of Hart Injury
Hart was substituted after he came off worse in a 50-50 challenge with Manchester United's Anthony Martial as both players challenged to claim a loose ball.
City centre-back Martin Demichelis' underhit backpass left Hart scrambling, and the veteran defender himself was promptly substituted after a tough afternoon.
Hart isn’t an injury-prone player, although he did spend some time on the treatment table in November to nurse a hamstring injury.
Willy Caballero has started in his absence, but he doesn't have the most reliable pair of hands and has made numerous costly mistakes during his time in the City shirt. He doesn’t command his area as well as Hart, although he was the hero in the Capital One Cup final against Liverpool.
For big matches, Hart is an automatic selection, so Pellegrini will be delighted to welcome him back.
