Nine points was the difference between third-placed Real Madrid and league-leading Barcelona as the former's league match against Eibar kicked off on Sunday afternoon.

Rafa Benitez's side visited seventh-placed Eibar in search of three points to not only move Real closer to the Catalan side (and local rivals Atletico in second), but also to put aside memories of last weekend's Clasico drubbing.

It was a case of deja vu for the Portuguese on the hour mark as his cries for a penalty again went unanswered.
