Jamie Vardy Tweet from 2012 Goes Viral Following Record-Breaking Night

Lessons No. 1 through No. 1,401 about Twitter usage can be summarised as such: Twitter never forgets. 

Such was the case on Saturday night, when rags-to-riches Leicester City hero Jamie Vardy made Premier League history by scoring for his 11th consecutive match, passing Ruud van Nistelrooy. 

A seemingly innocuous tweet from 2012 went viral after the fact, with a Twitter user bemoaning Vardy's £1 million transfer fee, which now looks like an absolute steal.

It'd be remiss not to mention that every transfer spawns similar criticism from the Twitterverse. But it just so happens that this one came to light on Vardy's record-breaking night.
