Liverpool Transfer News: Thomas Muller Rumours Emerge, Latest on Isco
Liverpool have reportedly emerged as a suitor for Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller.
According to German outlet SportBild (via Sport Witness), Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, formerly in charge at Borussia Dortmund, is keen to add long-term Manchester United target Muller to his squad as he looks to build a Premier League-winning outfit.
The report indicates that Bayern have allegedly turned down "bids of up to €100 million [£70.2 million] for their star forward," but that has seemingly not dampened Liverpool's interest in the 26-year-old.

Muller is a world-class attacker playing for a world-class team—Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe ranks Bayern as the second-best club side in Europe:
Bayern are in talks with the German international over a new contract, but his current deal already runs until 2019, meaning only a ludicrously big offer could likely tempt the Bundesliga champions into selling him.
It seems unlikely that Liverpool would be willing to part with upwards of £70 million simply to buy one player, however good he is, as Klopp surely has plans to strengthen a number of different areas of his squad. Furthermore, Muller would doubtless be loath to move from one of Europe's best sides to a club struggling to make it into the top four in the Premier League, as Liverpool currently lie ninth in the English top flight.
Muller has netted a remarkable 12 goals in 13 Bundesliga appearances this season, per WhoScored.com; thus it is unsurprising that a number of top European clubs are reportedly interested in him. But despite Liverpool's interest, it simply does not seem likely that a deal could be agreed on in the near future that would see Muller switch the Allianz Arena for Anfield.

A more realistic attacking target for Liverpool could be Real Madrid's Isco. Per Bild (via Metro's Will Giles), the Spaniard is "unsettled" at the Bernabeu, and Liverpool are interested in signing him up.
Isco, 23, would be a fine addition at Anfield, but the Reds may face competition for his signature, with Juventus reportedly lining up a £28 million bid, per Italian outlet Tuttosport (via talkSPORT).
As a much more affordable option than Muller, though, and a versatile forward who can play across the front line, Isco could be a brilliant purchase for Klopp, and Liverpool should be prepared to fight hard to sign him.
