Gareth Bale Commissions 3-Hole Golf Course to Be Built at Welsh Home

Mark BollonsNov 23, 2015

Gareth Bale is a man who likes his golf.

The Welsh winger might be getting some grief in Spain for his recent Real Madrid performances, but life isn't too bad for the 26-year-old, who takes his mind off football by spending time either with family or on the golf course.

And his love for the game goes beyond the occasional round, with Matthew Dunn of the Daily Express reporting that Bale has commissioned a three-hole course to be built at his home in Wales.

In his spare time, he still likes nothing more than to work on his golf handicap, currently a respectable six.

He is even building himself three full-sized holes in the grounds of his home in south Wales.

The 11th from Amen Corner, Augusta, the 17th from Sawgrass and the Postage Stamp from Troon, no less.

"

Bale also admitted that chocolate and tea are the two home comforts that he misses most when living abroad.

“Every time I come home, I go back with bags of the stuff. Galaxy, Dairy Milkanything. I also miss PG Tips tea bags,” he said, per Simon Mullock of the Daily Mirror.

There might have been some serious comfort eating going on in the Bale household late on Saturday night following the 4-0 defeat to Barcelona.
