Mangold Vital to Jets Offensive Line
Losing Mangold for a significant time would have been a devastating blow for the Jets, especially since they have lost four of their last five games and are on the outside looking in at an AFC playoff spot. Mangold is a six-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro performer, and he is one of the offensive leaders for the team from the center position.
According to Football Outsiders, the Jets were the third-best offensive line in the league in pass protection coming into Sunday’s action. Mangold’s presence is a major reason why.
