Dorsey Key Cog to 49ers Defense
The 30-year-old started six of the 49ers' first nine games heading into Week 11 and totaled 16 tackles and zero sacks. He did not record a tackle against the Seahawks.
It's already been a struggle for San Francisco, who was ranked 27th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game at 126.2.
San Francisco should be able to remain in its 3-4 base defense and could turn to Tony Jerod-Eddie to replace Dorsey if his injury is serious. In his third year out of Texas A&M, Jerod-Eddie has recorded five tackles and three pass deflections.
Backups Arik Armstead and Tank Carradine could see increased playing time on the defensive line as well.
