Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Michael Hector Rumours
Chelsea are considering a £20 million approach for Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as coach Jose Mourinho prioritises landing two strikers in the transfer market.
The Sun On Sunday reported the Special One wants the 26-year-old Gabon international, who is compared to Didier Drogba, to boost his flailing attack after the Blues' disastrous start to the campaign.
Alex Harris of the Daily Star Sunday said Arsenal and Liverpool are also in the race for the player, who has shone for BVB this season.

However, the Stamford Bridge club's valuation of the attacker appears way off the mark.
According to German newspaper Bild (h/t Uche Amako of the Daily Express), the Westfalenstadion team has placed a £42 million price tag on Aubameyang's head.
The player has proved himself to be one of Europe's hottest talents this season, and his prolific performances have not gone unnoticed.

Aubameyang has scored 19 goals in only 16 appearances in the Bundesliga and Europe combined in 2015-16, according to WhoScored.com, and he is treading the path of Robert Lewandowski, who made his name in the No. 9 position at Dortmund.
Squawka's David O'Brien recently highlighted the company Aubameyang sits with in terms of his accuracy:
Chelsea finally ended their three-game Premier League losing streak on Saturday, beating Norwich City at Stamford Bridge by a solitary goal—with Diego Costa back on the scoresheet.
The Blues have looked devoid of ideas in attack in recent weeks, and Costa has appeared more interested in testing the patience of the referee than finding the back of the net.
Aubameyang is a superb talent, and he is built for the rigours of the Premier League. He would be a great addition as Mourinho looks to reinvent his team as winners once again.
Hector Recall on the Cards

Mourinho wants to bring back highly rated defender Michael Hector, who is currently on loan at Reading.
Jamie Sanderson of Metro reports the Special One wants to recall the 23-year-old in January but would have to pay the Royals compensation if he triggers a return.
However, Reading executive Samrit Thanakanchanasut commented to Goal the club would resist any such move by the Premier League champions: "Chelsea want him back early but I think we'll retain him as we agreed until the end of the season."
Hector signed for Chelsea from the Madejski Stadium club in the summer but was allowed to stay at Reading for a further season to develop in the Championship, per Sanderson.

Royals boss and former Mourinho assistant Steve Clarke recently lauded Hector's ability in an interview with GetReading (h/t Goal): "Michael reads the game well, he sticks his head on the ball, can make tackles and can pass out from the back as well."
Whether Hector is the answer to Chelsea's current defensive woes is questionable. He has spent all of his career in the lower divisions and has yet to feature in the Premier League.
Aubameyang would be a smart purchase by Mourinho as he attempts to strengthen his front line, but there is little chance they will get the Dortmund individual for as little as £20 million.
The Gabonese is one of the best strikers in Europe and would command a price closer to BVB's current valuation.
