K.J. Wright Fined $23,152 for Hit on Larry Fitzgerald

Danny WebsterNov 20, 2015

Seattle Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright has been fined $23,152 by the NFL for his hit on Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald during Sunday night's game, according to Darren Urban from Cardinals.com.

Wright said he will appeal the fine, per Sports Radio KJR's Curtis Crabtree.

Fitzgerald is advocating for the NFL to rescind the fine, and Wright joked he may have to involve the wide receiver in his appeal:

This wouldn't be the first time this year that Wright has had his wallet lightened. He was fined $10,000, and was ejected from the Week 2 game against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 20, after pulling tight end Richard Rodgers' helmet off.

After the Cardinals' 39-32 win over the Seahawks in Seattle, Larry Fitzgerald Sr. talked about the hit that Wright put on his son:

Wright had nine tackles and a sack in the loss.

But hey, if he only hit Fitzgerald as lightly as he knocks footballs out of the end zone, he likely wouldn't be facing a potential fine.
