Daniel Bryan: Latest News and Buzz Surrounding WWE Star Before Survivor Series
Daniel Bryan remains trapped in WWE limbo.
As Survivor Series approaches, he's not just absent the card—he's not sure when and whether WWE will clear him to compete again. Uncertainty encircles him thanks to a history of concussions and the company's hesitancy to move forward because of that.
As such, Bryan is forced to be a spokesperson rather than a wrestler. He's either sitting at home frustrated or traveling as a WWE representative in street clothes rather than wrestling trunks.

Bryan's current gigs are not exactly what fans dream of him doing.
He is set to replace Seth Rollins at a Houston car show on Nov. 27, reported by Wrestling Inc. He recently traveled to India to help the company make a big announcement.
That news ended up being the fact New Delhi will host two WWE live events next year, as noted on WWE.com.
Recently, he played spokesman for WWE, traveling to Dubai to do several interviews:
WWE fans, even the ones who got to meet him Dubai and India, can't be satisfied with this new role he's playing. As charming and friendly he is, his popularity came about because of how masterful he is in the ring. Just when he will return there remains a mystery.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestle Zone) reported that Vince McMahon is back and forth on whether to clear Bryan.
The report stated that it's not yet clear whether the results from the latest doctor to examine Bryan have come in. This would be the third doctor Bryan has seen. WWE's Joseph Maroon believed that Bryan shouldn't wrestle again, while Bryan's own doctor cleared him.
And so now he waits for the tiebreaker.
The length of this process has gotten to him. Not being able to do what he's best at has, too.
In an interview with India's Statesman, he talked about that frustration. Bryan said:
"My wife is a wrestler, so she is in the ring, and I am just sitting, it is difficult...when I am upset, when I am angry, wrestling was always there as an outlet. ... I could go, drop and kick. ... You can call your mom and you can call your sister...but sometimes you just need a physical outlet. ... I don't know how to cope with this situation.
"
His absence is especially powerful now WWE has had to work around several injuries. Randy Orton, Rusev and Seth Rollins are all out of action at the moment.
For those fans who have felt Bryan 's absence from Raw each week has left the product with less energy, you're not alone. Hall of Famer Bret Hart longs for Bryan to compete again too.
"I miss Daniel Bryan and CM Punk since they both exited the scene, and I find myself watching wrestling less and less since those guys left," Hart told Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated.
It's hard to imagine a scenario in which Punk comes back after the intensity of his divorce with WWE. Bryan, though, is one doctor's opinion away from wrestling again.
If that does happen and he does get back to drop-kicking folks, he has a Hall of Fame opponent waiting for him.
Kurt Angle recently spoke with Cult of Whatever and picked Bryan as his ideal opponent for his last match. He said, "If I had to pick one guy to wrestle to end my career with it would be Daniel Bryan. I think Daniel is an amazing wrestler and I know him and I would be able to have an incredible match similar to what Shawn Michaels and I did at WrestleMania 21."
That would be tremendous. But it's far from something fans should bet on seeing.
There's no guarantee Angle will come back to WWE, and it's increasingly clear there's no guarantee WWE doctors will find Bryan healthy enough to step back into the ropes. Until that situation clears up, frustration will mount for both him and his fanbase.
