According to Thursday's Daily Mirror, the club are planning to offer Alexis Sanchez a massive new contract worth £40 million to push away the advances of Real Madrid.
The full report states that Sanchez's wages will "rise to around £150,000, with major incentives written in."
The paper also says the Gunners are working on a new deal for German playmaker Mesut Ozil.
Elsewhere, the Sun is reporting that the Premier League is considering playing "Les Marseillaise" before this weekend's games as a tribute to the victims of the recent Paris attacks.
There is an interesting story on the back of the Daily Mail about the Leyton Orient team being holed up in a hotel for a week by their unhappy owner.
And finally, there are plenty of tributes to the great Jonah Lomu, the former All Blacks superstar who died at the age of just 40.
