David King to Chiefs: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction
The surging Kansas City Chiefs announced they have claimed defensive tackle David King off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks to replace injured rookie tight end James O'Shaughnessy on the roster.
Kansas City has fared well against the run this season, allowing just 97.1 yards per game, and King can help provide some depth behind Jaye Howard and Dontari Poe.
King, who has played in just four games for the Seahawks this year, registered three tackles, 0.5 sacks and two pass deflections in Seattle. In his three-year career, he's played in only seven games, totaling 1.5 sacks.

However, Chiefs reporter BJ Kissel noted Kansas City has had success going down this path before:
The Chiefs defense has played well of late, not allowing more than 18 points the past five games. King most likely won't see a lot of playing time on a talented Chiefs defense, but it never hurts to have an abundance of run-stoppers on your team.
