Manchester United have confirmed the signing of former Fulham and Arsenal prospect DJ Buffonge.
The attacking midfielder—full name Darren Raekwon McIntosh-Buffonge—spent the early part of the 2015-16 season on trial with the Old Trafford outfit, after joining from the Cottagers, before picking up an injury.

"DJ Buffonge has signed as a scholar for Manchester United following a successful trial. Despite the [injury] setback, United's coaches had seen enough to complete a deal for a creative midfielder who is very comfortable in possession of the ball."
The London-born midfielder joined Fulham from Arsenal in 2010. He has shown great promise as he has risen through the ranks, displaying exciting talent from an early age, as can be seen below:
It will likely be some time before he breaks into the first team at United, but he now has a huge opportunity to prove himself at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Per Squawka's Mitch Waddon, Buffonge is a "talented" and versatile player, and can play across the midfield in a number of different roles.
He also has terrific pace, a feature United manager Louis Van Gaal has previously admitted he needs to add to his squad, per Jack de Menezes in the Independent.
Buffonge is most certainly a player for the future, but his signing reinforces Van Gaal's commitment to developing talented youth.
The Dutch manager has given a number of youth players opportunities in the first team since he took over at Old Trafford in 2014.
Most recently he gave Brazilian youngster Andreas Pereira a starting spot in both of United's Capital One Cup clashes this season, while Jesse Lingard has excelled in the Premier League of late.
