Parker to Play vs. Cavaliers
Thursday, Nov. 19
Head coach Jason Kidd told reporters that Parker has been cleared by team doctors and will start against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Parker Has Dealt with Injury in Start to NBA Career
Parker has averaged 7.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in 22.4 minutes per contest in 2015-16 and didn't travel with the Bucks on their impending three-game road trip. After a rookie season that lasted just 25 games, there's reason to be alarmed about the 20-year-old's latest ailment, which could sideline him for the foreseeable future.
At least Milwaukee has a young, malleable roster that features numerous versatile players who can step up in Parker's absence—Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Michael Carter-Williams—and who had to learn to do so last season en route to a playoff berth.
If he misses more time in the future, Parker may have a difficult time working his way back into the rotation if the team is winning despite his immense talent.
