England fans are being encouraged to sing the French national anthem during Tuesday night's friendly at Wembley.

A number of tributes are planned following the attacks in Paris on Friday night, per the Guardian, with the lyrics of "La Marseillaise" set to be displayed on the screens at both ends of England's national stadium.

Wembley’s iconic arch will also remain illuminated by the French Tricolore, with France’s national motto Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité also on display.

England fans, who have traditionally held up cards to form a huge cross of St George, will instead create a French Tricolor, while both teams will wear black armbands.

Around 70,000 fans are expected to attend the match which will be preceded by a minute’s silence.

"

Mark Perryman, a fan representative and organiser for Raise the Flag (h/t BBC), added that they "leapt at the idea" to change the England flag to the French tricolor before the game.

Wembley is sure to be an emotional place on Tuesday night.
