College Football Week 12 Odds: Ohio State, Clemson, Notre Dame Betting Favorites

The Ohio State Buckeyes opened as almost two-touchdown favorites for this week at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark as they prepare to play host to the Michigan State Spartans in one of the marquee college football betting matchups on the board.

The Buckeyes opened as 13-point home favorites against the Spartans as they look to run their season record to 11-0 straight up and stay in the thick of the race for a berth in the College Football Playoff. Ohio State is coming off a 28-3 win at Illinois in which it covered the 17-point spread, putting the Buckeyes at 3-1 against the spread in their last four games.

The Spartans, meanwhile, are 9-1 SU on the season and are looking to jump the Buckeyes in the Big Ten pecking order. Michigan State is coming off a 24-7 win over Maryland in which it covered the 14.5-point spread, but overall on the season the Spartans are just 3-7 ATS.

Ohio State bounced Michigan State, 49-37, as a four-point road underdog when the schools met last season, and overall the Spartans are just 2-9 SU in their last 11 games against the Buckeyes according to the Odds Shark College Football Database. The visitor is 6-1 ATS in the last seven games between Ohio State and Michigan State.

Elsewhere on the Week 12 college football betting lines, the top-ranked Clemson Tigers opened as a big 29-point home favorite against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, while the Michigan Wolverines opened as a five-point road favorite against the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish opened as a 16-point favorite against the Boston College Eagles for their matchup at Fenway Park.

The game between the Baylor Bears and Oklahoma State Cowboys opened as a pick'em, with the Bears coming off a 44-34 loss to Oklahoma as a 1.5-point favorite that dropped them to 8-1 SU and 4-5 ATS on the season. The Cowboys, a perfect 10-0 SU and 6-4 ATS, are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 November games, while the favored team is 12-4 ATS in the last 16 games between Oklahoma State and Baylor.

The Stanford Cardinal opened as a 12.5-point home favorites over the California Golden Bears, after dropping to 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS on the season with a 38-36 loss to Oregon as a nine-point favorite. The Ducks opened as a 2.5-point home favorite over the USC Trojans for Week 12, with Oregon 3-1 both SU and ATS in its last four games against the Trojans dating back to 2009. The over paid out for totals bettors in each of those four matchups.

Finally, the undefeated Iowa Hawkeyes opened as a 17-point home favorite against the Purdue Boilermakers for Saturday. Iowa sits at 10-0 SU and 6-4 ATS on the season, with the team listed as the favorite having gone 12-2 SU in the last 14 games between the Hawkeyes and the Boilermakers.
