Darren McFadden, Christine Michael's Post-Week 10 Fantasy Advice

Things have fallen apart for the Dallas Cowboys this season, with fantasy owners suffering right along with the team. The Dallas offense was stymied against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, racking up just 216 yards in a 10-6 defeat. 

Opponents know they don't have to worry about defending the pass, even with weapons like Dez Bryant and Jason Witten, because quarterbacks Matt Cassel and Brandon Weeden before him have done nothing in Tony Romo's absence. 

As a result of not having a passing game, running backs Darren McFadden and Christine Michael are unable to get anything going against loaded boxes.

Sunday's effort is a huge disappointment for McFadden, who had sprung to life in the last three weeks with at least 10 fantasy points and two 100-yard rushing games. In his defense, though, the Buccaneers allow the 11th-fewest points to opposing running backs this year. 

McFadden remains Dallas' No. 1 back with Joseph Randle no longer on the team, as this marked the fourth straight game in which he's had at least 17 carries. Next week against the Miami Dolphins will be the true test of where he stands, as the Dolphins entered play in Week 10 allowing the third most fantasy points to running backs.    

Given the favorable matchup for McFadden, keep him as a starter for one more week before making a permanent decision.

You can, however, give up on Christine Michael. It doesn't matter how favorable a potential matchup may be for Dallas' running backs; it's clear head coach Jason Garrett and offensive coordinator Scott Linehan have no plan for the backup. 

Michael didn't take a snap in Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles and had just three carries against Tampa Bay. He's got 15 carries all season for 51 yards. His bruising style was supposed to provide a change of pace for opponents, but instead he can't find a hole to run through. 

If Michael is anywhere on your radar, it's time to examine why you are still playing fantasy football. If your opponent has him on the roster, hope there is a glitch with his or her computer that puts him in the starting lineup.
