Real Madrid Transfer News: Alvaro Morata Return Expected, Latest Rumours

Matt JonesNov 14, 2015

According to FIFA agent Ernesto Bronzetti, Juventus forward Alvaro Morata is likely to return to Real Madrid in the near future.

The Spain international striker has been a big hit with Bianconeri fans since joining the club in the summer of 2014, aiding their double triumph last term with some vital goals. However, according to Bronzetti, Los Blancos are keen on re-signing the forward, who refined his skills through the club’s youth system, per Tuttosport (h/t Football Italia):

"

As far as I know Real's intention is of taking him back. But we'll have to see what Morata himself says.

You don't go to Real with reluctance. They certainly aren't the type of club that will keep those who don't want to stay with them.

Let's say it's too early, the situation will be resolved in the next few months.

Real are changing their policies and they are putting a lot more emphasis on the players from their youth squads.

Recently they pitched ten players from the 'cantera'. For them, someone like Morata may be interesting too.

If Real did want him back, Morata would have a big decision to make. For a young man from the Spanish capital, featuring regularly for Los Blancos and scoring goals at the Santiago Bernabeu will be something he’s always dreamed of. During his time at Juventus, he’s made developments that would give him a greater chance of nailing down a regular spot, too.

However, it’s vital these fanciful ambitions are offset with some realism. After all, should Morata make a move back in the coming transfer window, he’d still be struggling to get into the team at the expense of Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. By contrast, at Juventus, he’s a vital part of the cause.

Morata would still find it tough to get into the Real XI.

Eventually, Morata may be of the standard required to become a regular player for Real Madrid. There are still areas of his game where he needs to make refinements, but he won’t do so watching from the dugout at the Bernabeu. With that in mind, staying at Juventus for a few seasons more would be to his benefit.

Zinedine Zidane Hails Eden Hazard

Real Madrid’s legendary midfielder Zinedine Zidane has praised Chelsea star Eden Hazard, who continues to be linked with a possible move to the Bernabeu.

Zidane, who is currently in charge of Real’s second team, was asked his thoughts on the Belgium international and whether he could foresee him potentially donning the iconic all-white strip further down the line.

“After Messi and Ronaldo, Hazard is my favourite player,” said Zidane, per Darren Lewis of the Daily Mirror. “I love watching him because he is a player who creates things and it is often spectacular to see him play. Do I see him going to Real Madrid? Ask someone else. I love the player and that’s all.”

According to Neil Ashton of the Daily Mail, Hazard is growing impatient at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho and will seek to force through a move to the Spanish capital should the Portuguese remain in charge at the end of the campaign.

Despite a storming 2014-15 season, in which the former Lille man earned the PFA Player of the Year gong and helped Chelsea to the Premier League title, this term has been a huge disappointment for Hazard.

Indeed, he’s yet to score a goal for the Blues so far this season, with Mourinho occasionally leaving the winger out of the starting XI altogether.

For Real, this is potentially good news, as they may never have a better chance of luring Hazard away from Stamford Bridge. The player would surely be keen to join a club as illustrious as Los Blancos, but even so, it’d likely take a massive amount of money to prise him away from Stamford Bridge.
