Pats Work Out Thomas

According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the New England Patriots "recently" worked out Pierre Thomas along with former Seattle Seahawks backup Robert Turbin.
Thomas has appeared in just one game this season, Week 9 with the San Francisco 49ers, when he had four rushes for 12 yards. The Niners released him on Tuesday to make room for Travaris Cadet, per Pro Football Talk's Darin Gantt.
The 30-year-old spent the previous eight seasons with the New Orleans Saints, developing into a dual threat coming out of the backfield behind quarterback Drew Brees. Four times he rushed for over 500 yards, and in 2013, he hauled in a career-high 77 receptions for 513 yards.
It's that kind of versatility the Patriots need. Having lost running back Dion Lewis for the season with an ACL injury, Tom Brady is without his third-leading receiver who has accounted for over 600 total yards this season.
While Thomas doesn't hold the same explosiveness the 25-year-old Lewis has, he does have the experience and safe set of hands to complement LeGarrette Blount in the Patriots' backfield. And no offense with Brady under center is ever lacking too much.
