Las Vegas Marathon 2015: Route, Course Map, Times, Rock 'N' Roll Event Details

Sin City better put its running shoes on. The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series kicks off from Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday with four races set to be run over the proceeding four days. 

Since 1967, the Las Vegas Marathon, one of America's oldest, has been run around the Las Vegas strip. A 5K, 10K and half-marathon have also been added to the event. For the complete course map, click here.

Runners competing in the 5K and half-marathon will have one of the biggest names in running with them, as Meb Keflezighi will pace both of the races. Keflezighi is the only runner to win the New York City Marathon, Boston Marathon and an Olympic medal, according to Caitlyn Pilkington of Competitor.com. 

While Keflezighi is one of the most recognizable names in the sport, a new face in the half-marathon is poised to announce his presence in grand fashion in Las Vegas. 

Four-time All-American Craig Lutz, who toppled records at the University of Texas, is going to run the 13.1 miles of the half-marathon for the first time in Las Vegas. But he wants nothing but the top spot, as he told Competitor.com's Duncan Larkin:

First and foremost I want to win. The field for Vegas is pretty strong with a good group of 1:03 guys and winning would most likely mean that I would accomplish my other goals too, which are to approach and break 1:03, negative split the second 10K, and have fun.

"

But the world's best running talent will be taking part in the full marathon as the winner of the men's race has been American in each of the past three seasons. On the women's side, Nuta Olaru won two straight marathon's from 2012-2013. 

No matter the winner, racing fans are going to see some of the best endurance running has to offer in one of the most entertaining cities in the world.
