Barcelona Players Fail to Win La Liga Player of the Month for 26th Time in a Row

In one of the more stunning pieces of useless knowledge you'll acquire today, the Telegraph has revealed that not one single Barcelona player has ever won La Liga's Player of the Month award.

Eibar's Borja Baston won the title in October, a month in which Luis Enrique's side shot up the league ladder and when Neymar and Luis Suarez stepped up in the absence of a certain Lionel Messi.

But while nobody's begrudging Baston's award, it is simply astonishing that no winner of the 26 titles since the award's inception in 2013 has come from Camp Nou.

In that time, Atletico players have been named Player of the Month six times, while Real Madrid players have won three.
