Head coach Mike McCoy told reporters that Floyd is "working extremely hard" to return to action this season.


Floyd's Return Much Needed for Chargers Offense

The Chargers own a 2-8 record, and a playoff berth was unlikely even before Floyd went down. 

The injury came less than a week after the Chargers ruled Keenan Allen out for the remainder of the 2015 season after he suffered a lacerated kidney, so the team can't afford another long-term injury to its wide receiver corps.
