A Chelsea fan who called Liverpool supporters "Scouse scum" following the Blues' 3-1 defeat to the Reds at Stamford Bridge has been fired by his employer.
Clive O'Connell was named best lawyer for insurance law in the 2014 Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom guide, per the Daily Telegraph, but he has been relieved of his position with Goldberg Segalla following a post-match rant on Oct. 31.

"Even those Scouse scum idiots, those nasty idiots, know Mourinho is the best manager in the world," he told Neeks Sports.
In Goldberg Segalla's response, managing partner Rick Cohen claimed the company had no choice but to terminate the employee's partnership with the firm.
He said in a video statement:
"Clive O'Connell's comments are entirely inconsistent with our ethos. His words are offensive, plain and simple.
We are extremely proud of the respectful and giving culture that we worked hard to build.
For these reasons, we have terminated our partnership with Mr O'Connell, effective immediately.
"
O'Connell told the Evening Standard he regretted his comments, but it couldn't save him his job.
