Taiwan Jones, Marcel Reece Fantasy Outlook After Latavius Murray's Injury
Latavius Murray had given the Raiders continuity at running back this season. That continuity may have dissolved on Sunday.
Murray took a big hit in the second half of the Oakland Raiders' matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers and was evaluated for a concussion before eventually being ruled out for the duration of the game. And if Murray's injury extends beyond this week, that opens up the door for either Taiwan Jones or Marcel Reece to earn a bigger workload for the Raiders and provide added fantasy value to owners who are handcuffing Murray.
Bank on Jones filling that role. While Reece would probably steal short-yardage opportunities and is a capable option in the passing game, Jones is the more natural replacement for Murray. He's served as Murray's de facto backup in recent weeks, including Sunday, when another possible replacement for Murray, Roy Helu Jr., was a healthy scratch.

But yes, Oakland's running back situation is murky while Murray is hurt. While Jones would likely lead the team in carries, the Raiders would probably utilize a committee approach, with Reece, Helu and possibly even Jamize Olawale—who had a touchdown Sunday—getting snaps.
In other words, Jones is the player you should target on waivers, but he shouldn't be considered anything more than a shaky flex consideration if you are really thin on options next week.
