Paris Saint-Germain's Thiago Silva has said he believes Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid and join the Ligue 1 champions.

The Brazilian told RMC (h/t Goal) he thinks the Portuguese is the best player on the planet and that he would adapt to life in Paris with ease as he already speaks French:

I do not know [if Ronaldo will sign] but it's fun playing with such major players. Ronaldo is the best player in the world. If the club wants him, of course the PSG squad would be happy.

He is a very good player, technically essential for all teams in the world and especially for PSG, who have a big dream to win the Champions League with great players.

I think Ronaldo will come. I do not know what happened with [PSG manager Laurent] Blanc after the game because he did not say but I hope [there were positive talks between the two].

He speaks French very well, perhaps better than me, and if it happens next year he will have no difficulty speaking with the media.

Ronaldo lit the fuse when Madrid beat PSG in the Champions League recently, as he was pictured whispering into the ear of Blanc on the touchline.

French newspaper L'Equipe (h/t Will Giles of Metro) reported Ronaldo is now considering his options, as Manchester United and an unnamed MLS side also stand by with offers.

However, Real coach Rafael Benitez remained relaxed about the reports surrounding the player, despite Ronaldo telling FHM (h/t ESPN FC), "I'm not shutting the door on any league or on any place."

Benitez laughed off the incident between Ronaldo and Blanc, telling a press conference, per his club's official website:

Cristiano is scoring for fun and looks happy to me. He scored three goals in training today.

I read that his agent said he's happy and that he'll finish his career here. If he's as happy and effective as he showed today then I'm at ease. I hope he's here for years to come and continues scoring hatfuls of goals.

Ronaldo looks as good as ever this season, and he has continued to score at an incredible rate. The attacker has 13 goals from his 14 combined league and Champions League appearances, per WhoScored.com

Club legend Zinedine Zidane recently hinted to French TV programme Canal Football Club (h/t James Whaling of the Daily Mirror) the player is indispensable to Los Blancos, commenting: "Fifty to 55 goals per season is just not human. But you should see him at training. At training, he's a guy who every ball, every match, every corner...he wants to score, he wants to win."

If Madrid lose Ronaldo's goals to a European rival, club resident Florentino Perez knows he will not be able to automatically find a replacement of the Portugal international's class.

Ronaldo is one of a kind. And at 30 years old, far from being an ageing talent, he is still producing the performances needed for Real to kick on and compete for the biggest prizes.

PSG have a collection of superstars already at their disposal, but the acquisition of Ronaldo would take their club to the next level and steer them to the verge of achieving success in the Champions League.
