Now, Gerrard has signed a pair that will be put on eBay to raise money for refugees.
As per the Telegraph:
"The boots, which were presented to Gerrard in his final game as a Liverpool player, will be auctioned off on eBay, with the proceeds being donated to the British Red Cross Europe Refugee Appeal.
"
"Only 17 pairs of the special edition boots were made by Adidas, one for every year the former Liverpool FC and England captain played for Liverpool.
Inside the boot is a touching farewell message, which reads ‘You leave a legend, you’ll return a hero. The city of Liverpool is always with you. You’ll never walk alone.’
The kind gesture is sure to raise a nice sum as it is a piece of memorabilia all Liverpool fans would love to get their hands on.
"
Well played, Stevie G.
