Nike Air Jordan Retro 13 'CP3' Release Date, Pics and Retail Price

Nike is set to release the Chris Paul Air Jordan 13 Retro design Saturday. The latest "CP3" shoe is highlighted by black leather and bold contrast that gives it a unique look from every angle.

Although there's plenty of interest in smooth, clean designs, the Retro 13 "CP3" is a terrific example of finding success by doing things a little different. The shoe combines various patterns that when brought together create a standout look.

The company also notes there's a limit of one per customer at the launch.

One of the biggest issues when a company tries to revitalize a retro design is getting all of the pieces to fit together perfectly. Sometimes the individual ideas are all solid, but once they all get put together the shoe looks a bit disjointed.

That's not the case here. The Retro 13 "CP3" showcases eye-catching flow by using a lot of curved lines throughout the design. Freshness Mag showed off the base look:

It's easy to see the contrast from that angle as well. Doing the logo in the brighter Sunstone color really helps it pop.

The bottom of a shoe rarely gets much attention because, well, most people don't see it. But for collectors it can be a key selling point. Kicks Cartel passed along a look at the nice geometric look the Retro 13 "CP3" has to offer:

Again, that's kind of a niche thing, but it really helps the design overall.

It's an intriguingly sleek look that includes new-age elements without sacrificing the retro vibe. That's always a lot easier said than done. Quite simply, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The Retro 13 "CP3" certainly works.

All told, it's a very nice shoe that should be extremely popular heading into the holiday season.
