Curry is the reigning NBA MVP and a defending NBA champion with the Dubs. While few could have predicted the 27-year-old superstar would reach this level, basketball is in his blood.

Steph's father, Dell Curry, spent 16 seasons in the NBA, including a decade with the Charlotte Hornets.

That explains the "Father to Son" distinction for Under Armour's upcoming release, as the sneakers are clad in the Hornets' trademark purple and teal color scheme.

The Curry Two is similar to the Curry One in terms of its sleek, aerodynamic design, as seen in this profile photo of the shoe from Champs Sports:

In addition to the vivid purple and teal colors that make the top and sides of the sneaker pop, the white accents on the bottom provide a clean, neutral base, per SneakerMob.com:

Many great sneakers boast cool features that aren't necessarily obvious to admirers unless they're actually wearing them.

The Under Armour Curry Two "Father to Son" comes through in that regard, as evidenced by this look at the writing on the inside of the shoe's tongue, courtesy of SneakerMob.com:

Under Armour has been a major up-and-comer in the world of basketball kicks, and this release has all the makings of another slam dunk.

The Curry Two "Father to Son" sneakers seemingly check all the boxes, from a great design to an effective, meaningful color scheme and even a red-hot brand.

Curry has certainly been making his case for the title of "best basketball player in the world," and his name may very well be attached to the coolest basketball shoe on the market as well.
