Cristiano Ronaldo Accused of 'Lashing Out' During Real Madrid vs. Las Palmas
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo finds himself under the spotlight after being accused of “lashing out” at Las Palmas defender David Simon on Saturday, per Marca.
The Portuguese star scored his side’s second goal in a routine 3-1 victory at the Bernabeu, but his performance has been overshadowed by an alleged moment of madness off the ball, as Marca’s photo shows:

Ronaldo has been known to let his frustration get the better of him in the past, seeing red after two acts of violent play at Cordoba in January, but his apparent kick out at Simon went unnoticed by the match official.
The duo tussled and legs tangled after Ronaldo offloaded the ball to Marcelo, before the Real Madrid man ran the risk of a red card by seemingly tripping Simon away from the referee’s attention.
It’s now up to the Spanish Football Federation to deem whether it wishes to take further action and issue a ban on the 30-year-old, yet he’s got away with this kind of thing before.
Hark back to last season’s Supercopa, where Ronaldo twice lashed out at Diego Godin during a fiercely contested Madrid derby and he got off scot-free.

Madrid could well do without a ban for their player. They face a tricky trip to Sevilla in their next La Liga outing before the Clasico with Barcelona looms on the horizon.
La Liga 2015/16 is looking like being another incredibly tight campaign, and if Ronaldo’s discipline means he misses some vital games, then the pendulum swings in Barcelona’s favour.
