Caldwell-Pope Active vs. Wizards
Friday, Feb. 19
Caldwell-Pope will play against the Washington Wizards on Friday, per Pistons broadcaster Mark Champion.
Caldwell-Pope Has Developed into Reliable Scoring Threat
In his third NBA season, the former Georgia product has been solid as a scorer so far in 2015-16. He was averaging 14.9 points per game on 42.2 percent shooting prior to the injury, compared to 12.7 PPG and a 40.1 percent rate from last season.
"There's a lot of things but we ain't gonna mention them," Caldwell-Pope said of how he's improved, per David Mayo of MLive.com. "It's all about just preparing myself. So by me maturing, this is my third year, by me maturing from my last year, it's been great. So I'm just going to continue to be professional and prepare myself on the road."
The Pistons are already without Jodie Meeks for an undisclosed period as he recovers from a Jones fracture, so their shooting guard depth was in trouble before Caldwell-Pope's return.
