Laser Appears in Wayne Rooney's Face Before Penalty Miss vs. Middlesbrough

Wayne Rooney, the subject of much criticism this season, might have himself a get-out-of-jail-free card after missing a penalty during Manchester United's shootout loss to Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night.

In a video shared by Sky Sports, Rooney appears to have a laser shone in his eyes twice before his low spot-kick is saved by Boro keeper Tomas Mejias.
