WWE Rumors: Examining Latest Buzz Around Brock Lesnar, Alberto Del Rio and More

Ryan DilbertOct 27, 2015

Is WWE management upset with Brock Lesnar over the blood he painted the canvas with at Hell in a Cell? Did Alberto Del Rio anger Mexico's AAA on his way out of the company?

The latest batch of rumors offers looks behind the curtain to help answer those questions.

Coming out of the Hell in a Cell 2015 pay-per-view, the Internet was abuzz thanks to both of those wrestlers. Lesnar's bloody face and chest had fans wondering whether a fine was in his near future. Del Rio's sudden return to WWE left one curious as to how he left his relationship with AAA.

Other stories floating around online involve what's reportedly ahead for Eugene and The Young Bucks. Could we see the former make a return and the latter make their WWE debuts?

Let's dive into all of it, looking out for what to dismiss and what to believe.

Hell in a Cell Aftermath

Despite the ban on blading, Lesnar and Undertaker bled at Hell in a Cell. A lot.

You will find no shortage of theories pinpointing just when the two warriors cut themselves during the match. If they did in fact breach protocol, one has to imagine that Vince McMahon was livid. Speculation is rampant about that, but it looks as if the chairman was no volcano backstage.

Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman at Hell in a Cell.

Dave Meltzer reported on F4WOnline, "While Vince McMahon was upset at the gorilla position and ordered the doctor to the ring to have the blood wiped off, nothing was said to the talents after the match regarding the subject."

PWInsider's Mike Johnson added, "We are told by someone who was at the gorilla position that McMahon didn't really react to it. McMahon, however, was not happy when he ordered a WWE doctor into the ring to clean up Lesnar and Taker, only for Lesnar to grab the doctor."

As odd as that scenario sounds, the fact that the two stories mesh points to this likely being how things played out.

Maybe McMahon had less of an issue with two men of this magnitude going against policy. Maybe he plans to discuss the match with them in private later on.

Either way, for now it doesn't appear that Lesnar or Undertaker will have any consequences coming for all that bloodshed, other than the staples doctors stitched into The Beast Incarnate's head.

Where Are The Young Bucks Headed?

The Young Bucks are almost as well-known for teasing fans on the Internet as they are for their love of superkicks.

Even so, when Matt Jackson tweeted that he and his brother had signed with a major company, it was hard for fans not to start getting excited:

While it's not yet clear what company they chose, WWE fans need not start dreaming up feuds for them opposite the likes of The New Day or The Dudley Boyz.

According to PWInsider (h/t Wrestling Inc), the team has not signed with WWE.

That's not a shocker. The Young Bucks are a better fit for Lucha Underground or New Japan Pro Wrestling. WWE would likely want to remake them into something new.

Returns on the Way?

The tag team division is about to get deeper without signing a single new talent. PWInsider's Johnson reported, "There are plans in place for the return of The Usos, so expect them back on TV shortly."

Jey Uso underwent shoulder surgery in April. He was supposed to be out six months to recover. November would mark his seventh month.

The Usos can now go back to being one of the division's hottest acts. A surging New Day team is a great option for them to face now that Jey's shoulder is apparently good to go.

In addition, the WWE Performance Center may be getting another veteran voice.

WWE is reportedly talking about bringing back Nick Dinsmore, better known as Eugene. Johnson noted that Eugene "has been brought up in conversation within the company over the last few weeks, but for what role, I have not heard."

Dinsmore was previously a coach for NXT. Considering he's 39 and without a ton of star power to wield, that's the most likely place for him once more.

Alberto Del Rio's Arrival

WWE didn't mention it, of course, but when Del Rio was battling John Cena for the U.S. title at Sunday's PPV, he was still the mega world champ for AAA.

That creates a unique scenario where Del Rio's two obligations overlap. Just how did this happen? And did he burn any bridges to get this point?

On F4WOnline, Meltzer provided some answers. He wrote of AAA and Del Rio that "both sides are on good terms." Meltzer also noted that "Del Rio did contact AAA in advance, even if it was this past weekend, so they weren't blindsided."

One would assume that Del Rio will take a weekend off to drop the AAA mega title so he can move forward with his WWE duties. If he refuses to do that, the situation between him and the Mexican wrestling promotion will surely change. That would be a disrespectful move.

He will seemingly have the leeway in his schedule to finish out his dates with AAA. According to F4WOnline (h/t Wrestle Zone), Del Rio's workload is lighter than that of most talents, although not as light as Chris Jericho's or Lesnar's.
