Brock Lesnar Receives 9 Staples After Win vs. Undertaker at WWE Hell in a Cell
Brock Lesnar went to hell and back to finally overcome The Undertaker in their years-long rivalry Sunday night. That said, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion won't be walking away from their Hell in a Cell battle unscathed.
WWE announced Lesnar needed as many as nine staples to close a gash on his head that required medical attention during the match. Lesnar was opened up early in the half-hour battle, with blood pouring over his face before the ringside doctor stepped in to temporarily stop the bleeding.
WWE's Joey Styles and doctor Larry Heck provided pictures of Lesnar:

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio reported that Vince McMahon and WWE executive vice president Kevin Dunn "freaked out" when Lesnar was bloodied (via Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc).
In recent years, WWE has made a concerted effort to avoid its Superstars showing blood, largely thanks to its push to PG programming. Blood in matches had long been a fixture in the years prior.
The Undertaker also bled later in the match after taking bare-knuckle punches from Lesnar. It's unclear what (if any) medical attention was needed to clean up his cuts.
Lesnar pinned The Deadman after striking him with a low blow and then an F5 in their Hell in a Cell rubber match. Undertaker had won a controversial decision over Lesnar at SummerSlam as he atoned for his loss at WrestleMania 30.
Billed as the final matchup between two surefire Hall of Famers, it's clear both men left the ring worse for the wear.
