WWE Raw: Potential Spoilers, Rumors, News and Preview for October 26

Ryan DilbertOct 26, 2015

Hell in a Cell started many a fire that will burn on into the Oct. 26 edition of WWE Raw.

The Wyatt Family abducted a hobbled Undertaker and carried him off into the darkness. Roman Reigns emerged from a battle inside a cage bruised, battered and likely now with a championship in his sights. And Alberto Del Rio made a surprise return, aligning with Zeb Colter, of all people, to seize the United States Championship from John Cena.

Monday's Raw promises to build on those developments and to begin to clear up some of the questions the pay-per-view generated.

Monday Night RAW

Valley View Casino in San Diego, California, is set to play host to a Raw short on top names but heavy on intrigue. Just who will be there? What should fans expect to unfold?

A look at foreshadowing, backstage reports, an injury update and the five-point preview on WWE.com serves as a crystal ball for Monday's Raw.

News, Potential Spoilers

Not that Lesnar or Undertaker were expected at Raw, but the savage nature of their battle on Sunday night points to The Beast Incarnate taking it easy on Monday. WWE released graphic photos of him receiving stitches in his head.

Cena's loss at Hell in a Cell could well be the last time we see him until December.

Dave Meltzer reported on F4WOnline.com a few weeks ago, "Cena will be taking time off from wrestling shortly for what the WWE has described as personal reasons." He also noted that Cena was not advertised for the Raw following Hell in a Cell.

It's possible, though, that the former champ uses Monday night as a sendoff. Tradition dictates that someone taking time off is written off via injury or suspension.

Mike Johnson offered some insight into the situation. He wrote for PWInsider, "I am told some sort of announcement will be made about what he's doing during the hiatus, which appears to be an outside project of some sort."

Look for Luke Harper to be in California after missing last week's shows. He slipped away from the storyline without notice on last week's Raw but then showed up at Hell in a Cell.

As PWInsider noted (h/t Wrestling Inc), Harper is back on the road with WWE and is expected to be back with The Wyatt Family on Monday's Raw.

It's unclear whether to expect to see Randy Orton in action, though. On last Monday's Raw, WWE explained his absence by saying that The Wyatt Family ambushed him. He's in fact nursing a real-life injury.

Randy Orton's shoulder may leave him out of Raw and the early stage of the Survivor Series build.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestle Zone), Orton dislocated his shoulder while taking out the trash. It then reportedly took three hours to pop it back into place.

Jim Ross noted on his blog that Orton has "had those lingering problems with his shoulder for years."

Still, Orton is advertised to appear on Monday night. In fact, James Caldwell noted for PWTorch that Orton is booked to wrestle in a six-man tag post-Raw dark match. That may just be an old listing, however.

If he was hurt enough to get yanked from the Hell in a Cell card, it's hard to imagine him getting in the ring on Raw.

Out of Hell

The final image of Hell in a Cell featured The Wyatt Family carrying a limp Undertaker up the entrance ramp. While The Deadman may not show up on Monday night, the man leading that crew is sure to keep that narrative in the spotlight.

The Wyatt Family carry off Undertaker.

It's not yet clear what Bray Wyatt's motives are. The preview raised a number of questions about Wyatt's mindset, including: "Does The New Face of Fear somehow think he can make him a part of his horrific fold? Are The Wyatts looking to send another ominous message to the locker room?"

Fans may not get the whole truth right away, but expect this to be addressed on Monday night.

Uncertainty surrounds Del Rio, as well. He is still Mexico's AAA ultra champion. That creates an odd situation with him now being back on the WWE roster.

PWInsider's Johnson wrote, "We have heard that AAA wasn't aware he was debuting until right before it happened as WWE wanted extreme secrecy for all the obvious reasons. The belief is Del Rio will finish out his remaining bookings with AAA, but that's not 100% confirmed."

Del Rio refused to comment after the show.

The preview hinted that he and Colter will be saving their speeches for Raw when it asked, "Will either have more to say on Raw?"

As for the Divas Championship scene, Nikki Bella lost at Hell in a Cell, but she may not be done challenging for the title. The preview pointed at Paige, Sasha Banks and Nikki Bella all being in the mix for the championship.

That makes sense with Banks getting the biggest push among the Team B.A.D. members, Paige featuring prominently in the Nikki-Charlotte feud and WWE's habit of not putting the Bellas far from center stage from any stretch of time.

With Kane's loss to Seth Rollins at the PPV, he also lost his position as Director of Operations. That is sure to come up in San Diego, with The Authority having to find someone new to fill that spot.

The preview asked, "Will The Authority choose to play a central role in tonight's show in order to fill the void? Will they appoint a new Director to replace Kane?" That's to be expected unless the company pulls something cheap and has Demon Kane take over for Corporate Kane.

Either way, Rollins may next have to focus on an old ally.

The WWE.com Raw preview foreshadowed Reigns moving back into the title picture by asking, "Has Roman Reigns' trial by fire finally prepared him to climb to the top of the mountain and capture WWE's top prize?" His big win over Wyatt certainly felt like a launchpad into title contention. And WWE doesn't have a ton of other options waiting in the wings.

Guys like Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler have not been treated like potential foes for Rollins.

It's unclear whether all these developing stories will end Raw's recent ratings slump, but it has the show more abuzz than it has been in a long while. Hell in a Cell left fans guessing what's ahead, curious about what Wyatt is up to, where Reigns is headed and what Del Rio's title reign will look like.
