Charlie Weis Or Ty Willingham, Who Was The Better Notre Dame Coach?

al asifyouknowSep 20, 2009

What now my dear ND fans, who's fault is it now?

Is there still some of Ty players messing this up?

Does Charlie need three more years to get his own players?

Can I assume all of Ty players graduated, is this all on Coach Weis?

Just asking folks , you must admit these are legitimate questions.

Agree?

I wrote an article a few weeks ago with the stats on wins an loses by both coaches, I’m big on that , if can see it I tend to believe it, when it comes to stats I don’t walk by faith.

The reaction by ND fans to those stats was fast and furious, you’d think I killed somebody. They blamed everybody but the Pope and coach Wies for the average record by one of the most talk about Notre Dame hires in decades.

You think the Savior himself was coming, Notre Dame open their treasury to give him everything but the stadium and touchdown Jesus.

Here they are in 2009 with a record no better than the guy they ran out of town.

Facts are, the best records Coach Weis were :

In 2005 9-3

In 2006 10-3

Most wins, if not all with Ty Willingham’s players and with an NFL QB , what’s his name, I forgot, who recruited him ?

Not important, you know who I’m talking about.

Again , what now?

Where do you go from here?

Are you fans ready to take a look at yourselves in the mirror and say, “this was a bad move we should of given Ty one more year and see if he made progress“, it certainly would have been cheaper.

Pounding Nevada is not a signature win.

Beating Michigan State by three points, who in turn got pounded by that MAC power Central Michigan is not what one can call success. At least not at Notre Dame.

Agree?

I usually write mostly about Motorsports, but I am a huge College Football fan.

I’ve learned one thing as a race fan, the more money you can spend the faster you will go

In Football that is not necessarily true, the record today stands at:

Willingham's 21-15 and Weis's 22-15 after three year.

Coach Weis total record for the 2008 and 2009 season is 9-7.

Of course I may be making all those numbers up folks , you should verify them and please correct me if I’m wrong.

Good luck with the rest of the season.

Oh, and by the way GO CANES!!!!!
