Royals Advance to 2015 World Series: Celebration Highlights and Twitter Reaction

The Fall Classic is officially set. The Kansas City Royals will meet the New York Mets in the World Series after a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays in a clinching ALCS Game 6. 

Kansas City managed to break a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the eighth, thanks to Eric Hosmer's one-out single, scoring Lorenzo Cain from first. 

It came a half-inning after the Blue Jays found a way to tie things up against the Royals' bullpen. Down 3-1 heading into the top of the eighth, Jose Bautista's second home run of the game tied things up off Ryan Madson. 

Toronto attempted to mount a comeback with runners on first and third with no outs, but Wade Davis, who had to wait an hour between throwing pitches due to a rain delay, mowed Ben Revere and Josh Donaldson down to win the pennant. 

It's the second time in as many seasons that the Royals are heading back to the World Series, as MLB via Twitter has the replay of the final out and celebration:

Quite a World Series awaits us come Tuesday. A Royals team with tough hitters desperate to right their wrongs from last season will take on a Mets team stacked with young power arms that have sat down the likes of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs in the postseason. 

Kansas City can sit tight until Tuesday as they have Series home-field advantage. So they'll have four days to rest and wait for the Mets to come to them as we are set up for what could be a very entertaining championship.
