The 24-year-old is arguably Atleti's most effective attacking asset and they will not part with him easilyโhis current contract runs until 2020 and he reportedly has a release clause in excess of โฌ65 million (ยฃ47.6 million), according toย Jorge Garcia ofย AS.
Griezmann had a terrific debut season for the Madrid outfit in 2014-15 after his move from ย Real Sociedadย and has continued his good form in the new term, scoring four La Liga goals and providing two assists in eight games, per WhoScored.com.
He netted a stunning solo goal Sunday against his former club which showcased his immense ability, as seen here courtesy of Coral:
It is unsurprising that Real are interested in signing him, as he would be a phenomenal addition to their already stunning forward line.
Alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Benzema,ย Griezmann could form one of the most skillful attacking units in Europe.
However, Atletiย would surely be loath to allow the France international to join their archrivals from across the Spanish capital.
If they are forced to letย Griezmann leave next summer, they would likely much rather see him join a team from another league, which could hand Arsenal the edge in a transfer battle.

Meanwhile, Spanish outletย Fichajes.netย (h/tย Metro's Mark Brus) reports that Manchester United are planning to make a move for Real centre-back Pepe.
The report indicates that the Portuguese defender is valued atย ยฃ29 million, but the Red Devils are only prepared to pay aroundย ยฃ14.7 million.
The 32-year-old Pepe has started only three La Liga games this season as youngster Raphael Varane has taken a more prominent role in the side, perย WhoScored.
If Unitedโwho need to add more experience and depth in the back lineโcome in with a decent offer, it may be worth Real cashing in on Pepe while he is still a valuable asset.
