Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest Antoine Griezmann and Pepe Rumours
Real Madrid look to have a fight on their hands in their reported pursuit of Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann.
Los Blancos have been heavily linked in Spain with the French attacker, with manager Rafa Benitez reportedly keen to pair him in attack at the Bernabeu with compatriot Karim Benzema, per talkSPORT.
However, Spanish reports now indicate that former suitors Arsenal are aiming to go in for Griezmann next June ahead of Euro 2016, as noted by Joe Short of the Express.

The 24-year-old is arguably Atleti's most effective attacking asset and they will not part with him easily—his current contract runs until 2020 and he reportedly has a release clause in excess of €65 million (£47.6 million), according to Jorge Garcia of AS.
Griezmann had a terrific debut season for the Madrid outfit in 2014-15 after his move from Real Sociedad and has continued his good form in the new term, scoring four La Liga goals and providing two assists in eight games, per WhoScored.com.
He netted a stunning solo goal Sunday against his former club which showcased his immense ability, as seen here courtesy of Coral:
It is unsurprising that Real are interested in signing him, as he would be a phenomenal addition to their already stunning forward line.
Alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Benzema, Griezmann could form one of the most skillful attacking units in Europe.
However, Atleti would surely be loath to allow the France international to join their archrivals from across the Spanish capital.
If they are forced to let Griezmann leave next summer, they would likely much rather see him join a team from another league, which could hand Arsenal the edge in a transfer battle.

Meanwhile, Spanish outlet Fichajes.net (h/t Metro's Mark Brus) reports that Manchester United are planning to make a move for Real centre-back Pepe.
The report indicates that the Portuguese defender is valued at £29 million, but the Red Devils are only prepared to pay around £14.7 million.
The 32-year-old Pepe has started only three La Liga games this season as youngster Raphael Varane has taken a more prominent role in the side, per WhoScored.
If United—who need to add more experience and depth in the back line—come in with a decent offer, it may be worth Real cashing in on Pepe while he is still a valuable asset.
