Manchester United Fans Design Cover for Matchday Programme for City Derby

Ahead of Sunday's derby between Manchester United and their "noisy neighbours" City, the Red Devils asked fans to submit their designs for the front cover of the matchday programme United Review. 

On Monday, United revealed they have had more than 450 submissions for the competition, which they have whittled down to a final two. 

The first option shows a city divided by colour, with Old Trafford in the foreground:

The second design is a retro effort that depicts two high challenges for a ball that would surely be worthy of a booking:

Sadly, this writer's crayon-drawn submission of United boss Louis van Gaal riding City manager Manuel Pellegrini like a horse was not shortlisted for consideration.
