Robben Injury Problems Resurface

Journalist Stefan Bienkowski confirmed Robben's injury in the first half, with Bayern tweeting Joshua Kimmich replaced the Dutchman after 33 minutes.

Bayern Depth Used to Dealing with Robben Loss

This is far from the first time Robben has been sidelined through injury. His most recent previous knock came in September, when he encountered a groin problem while on international duty.

Bayern are well-prepared to cope in his absence with fantastic cover available in the shape of Mario Gotze, Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman.

Robben's return will be eagerly anticipated, though, as he is one of the most experienced players in manager Pep Guardiola's squad.

While there are plenty of alternative options available to Guardiola in Robben's absence, the 31-year-old is undoubtedly an invaluable asset at Bayern and will be eager to return to action as soon as possible.
