Gianni VerschuerenOct 18, 2015

Barcelona star Neymar has ruled out a move away from the club during the upcoming transfer window, telling Blaugrana fans to “relax” regarding his ongoing contract negotiations with the club.

Speaking to beIN Sports (h/t Sport), the Brazil international confirmed negotiations are still underway before saying he plans to sign a new deal: "The renewal is underway. I still have years left on my contract. I'm going to sign. The fans can relax."

Neymar has three years left on his current deal and is widely expected to sign a new contract with the Blaugrana despite strong interest from Manchester United. The father of the forward star confirmed the Premier League giants made an approach for his services during the summer while speaking to Boa Tarde Fox (h/t Sky Sports) earlier in October.

The 23-year-old has been with Barcelona since joining the club from Santos in 2013, and as the youngest member of the attacking trio that also includes Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, he's set to become the unquestioned face of the club at some point in the future.

On Saturday, he gave fans a glimpse of what that may look like, scoring four goals in a 5-2 La Liga win over Rayo Vallecano, with Messi sidelined because of an injury. Footballer-turned-pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft thought the youngster made sure Barcelona didn't miss the four-time Ballon d'Or winner:

Blaugrana fans likely won't rest easy until the Brazilian actually puts pen to paper, but judging by his latest comments, he has no intention of leaving Catalunya anytime soon.
