Dear Jeremy Ross,

I temporarily take back what I said about you earlier. Way to come through in the clutch with big catches in the fourth quarter, especially on that 3rd-and-16; I have to admit, I didn't expect that from you. Let's see if we can make this effort a more consistent occurence.

And with Nyan possibkly out for a bit, you're going to have to step it up big time.

PS Tell Marvin to pick up the slack a bit.

Dear Jahvid Best,

Thank you. Just thank you. Not only for single-handedly taking care of our team's scoring, but also giving me a 15 percent discout at the Student Store on Monday.

PS Was everything okay in that third quarter?

Dear Kevin Riley,

How does that first non-conference road win feel? Major props for your big throws in the fourth quarter. Oh, and that pass to Verran Tucker? Possibly the most beautiful ball I've seen from you all season.

Dear Tyson Alualu,

What ever you and the boys up front had for breakfast today, don't stop eating it, because I expect to see Masoli on the turf a lot next Saturday.

Dear Coach Tedford,

Glad to see you get that big win on the road, and good luck at Oregon.

One thing: you may want to take note of the fact that Jahvid's scores and big gains came mostly from runs to the outside. Just saying.

Dear Darian Hagan,

I vented all of my frustration on you while watching the game, so I'll say this: these type of games happen, man. You best get over it quickly and prepare yourself for the Ducks next week.

Dear Pete Alamar (special teams coordinator),

Short kickoffs by Tavecchio. Allowing a 41-yard kickoff return (and a 22.8 yard average). A muffed punt return due to miscommunication.

Looks like you've got some work to do this week, my friend. I may be paranoid, but if this keeps up, special teams just might cost the Bears a game this season.

Dear Eric Decker,

Touche, sir.

I can do nothing but applaud your performance today; you were quite the formidable opponent, and an incredibly tough one, at that.

I apologize for the many times I combined your name with explatives while watching the game, but I can assure that it was mostly anger at my team for not being able to stop you when they knew where the ball would be going to.

PS Congrats on the recordl and that's a heck of a stadium you guys got there

Dear Senator Orrin Hatch,

Right now might not be the best time for you to lobby Congress about the BCS. Somehow, I just don't think people will be too sympathetic.

Dear Oregon Ducks,

I gotta hand it to you guys for bouncing back after the tough opening week loss and all of the ensuing distractions.

Looking forward to next week, it should be a dandy.

Dear Erik Folk, Steve Sarkisian, and Jake Locker,

All I can say is, I'll be drinking to you guys tonight.

Dear ESPN,

Please don't let this weekend's events stop College Gameday from coming to USC-Cal on October 3rd.
