Spurs Reveal Chadli Recovery Timeline

Tuesday, Oct. 20

Tottenham confirmed the nature of Chadli's injury in a short statement, adding he "is expected to be sidelined for around six weeks."

N'Jie Likely to Benefit from Chadli Absence

Chadli has struggled to hit the same heights reached last season, having netted just a single goal in eight league appearances this season. He scored 11 goals in 35 Premier League outings last year.

Summer signing Clinton N'Jie was brought on as Chadli's early replacement against the Reds, and the Cameroon international will be among the front-runners to fill the void out wide during his team-mate's absence.

Chadli's setback comes at a difficult time for manager Mauricio Pochettino as Spurs prepare for back-to-back away fixtures against Anderlecht in the Europa League following by a trip to Bournemouth.
